Eighties teenager Marty McFly is accidentally sent from 1985 to 1955, where he disrupts his parents' first meeting and attracts his mother's romantic interest. To repair the damage to history, Marty must rekindle his parents' romance. With help from his eccentric inventor friend Doc Brown, he also has to find a way to return to 1985 while the altered past remains in motion.
