Data sources & attribution

We name every source, honor its attribution requirements, and gate each one behind a license.

Ratings

IMDb ratings come from the IMDb licensed dataset. Rotten Tomatoes critic and audience scores come from the RT licensed feed. TMDB ratings come from the TMDB API. Where a source is not yet licensed, its fields are hidden rather than substituted with an unlicensed source.

Availability

Streaming availability comes from the JustWatch content partner API, with the TMDB watch-provider data as a fallback path. Availability is checked on a schedule and never silently aged out — stale data is labeled stale.

Metadata and editorial copy

Titles, cast, and crew come from the TMDB API. Editorial summaries and guides are written by Zurmo editorial against research packets built from these licensed sources; every long-form article carries a methodology note.

Attribution

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Other sources are attributed next to their data on every page where they appear.

What we never do

We do not scrape streaming catalogs, ratings, or reviews from any site, and we do not blend one provider's number into another's label.

Spotted something wrong, or want to know where a number came from? Tell us and we'll investigate.
