Dr. Vaseegaran builds Chitti, a powerful robot modeled on himself, but the scientific body AIRD rejects the machine because it lacks human behavior and emotion. A lightning strike changes Chitti, giving him feelings and the capacity to respond like a human. His new emotions become complicated when he falls in love with Sana, Vaseegaran’s fiancée. As Chitti turns against the doctor who created him, the inventor, his fiancée, and the robot are drawn into dangerous consequences.
