While her apartment undergoes renovation, Jacqueline moves in with her eldest daughter, Carole, and Carole’s son-in-law, who are attending couples therapy. What begins as a stay of a few days stretches into months as Jacqueline settles into their home, preparing dinners, taking over the television, and reorganizing the kitchen, with no clear end to her visit.
