    Captain Barbossa takes the Black Pearl from Jack Sparrow and abducts Elizabeth Swann, the governor’s daughter. Will Turner, a blacksmith who does not readily embrace the alliance, joins Sparrow in an effort to bring Elizabeth back. Their pursuit exposes a supernatural affliction affecting Barbossa and his sailors: the crew has become undead. With a pirate, a reluctant partner, and a hostage at the center, the rescue unfolds under the shadow of the curse.
