Camilla, a successful attorney in her forties, accidentally causes the death of an undocumented migrant and initially focuses on clearing herself. As responsibility begins to trouble her, she investigates the young man's identity and meets Bruno, the morgue's head, who seems to understand her. The investigation takes Camilla away from her surroundings and toward questions about her unresolved past and the life she wants.
