Chinmay, a young doctor, returns to his village determined to open a clinic, but the village baidya and the sarpanch’s son oppose his efforts. With help from Harijan youths Ramu and Sulochana, the clinic begins to thrive, while Anuradha supports Chinmay and his work. Gajanan, the sarpanch’s son, becomes Chinmay’s chief adversary and ultimately causes his death. Anuradha remains in the village, continuing the clinic’s work despite the resistance surrounding it.
