Johnny and Annie are a married couple whose life is strained by Johnny’s recurring alcoholism. After Keshavan is humiliated in an altercation, he takes revenge by hurting one of their children. A blood transfusion then reveals Annie has late-stage leukemia and only a few months to live, prompting her to arrange adoptions for the children’s future.
