A young woman arrives alone in Lhasa for a pilgrimage, but her plans change when she encounters a multicolored magical lobster worshipped by others. Determined to return it to the ocean, she carries it across half of China, meeting different people while memories, dreams, and hallucinations interrupt the journey. The attempt to free the lobster ends unexpectedly as she reaches the most secret place in her heart.
