Ten-year-old Aurora turns to her neighbor, a professional hitman, with a frightening request: she wants him to kill the monster beneath her bed, which she says has eaten her family. He takes responsibility for protecting the child and is soon forced into a fight against waves of assassins. As the attacks continue, the hitman must confront the possibility that Aurora’s story is true and that the creature she fears is not imaginary.
