Woo-joo, a prostitute whose work comes through word of mouth, continues working through pregnancy while dreaming of a normal life. Her daughter Seon, nearing high-school graduation, stays in a palace-like house and feels uneasy about its unreal comfort. Wanting money and hoping to look good for her boyfriend, Seon acts sweetly toward the quiet, kind-looking owner, accepts his unworn shoes and money, and finds that the older man seems somewhat dark.
