A group of holidaymakers becomes lost in the Louisiana swamplands, where a rampaging hippo is on the loose. Their attempt to find a way through the wetlands turns into a fight for survival as the animal threatens them. Stranded away from safety, the travelers must stay alive while confronting the dangerous creature in unfamiliar terrain and seeking a way out.
