From Vancouver, television network owner Sardar Jasbir Singh Grewal arranges his daughter Simar’s marriage to Inder Veer Singh of Mulhapur. Though the pair seem compatible, their engagement collapses when Inder refuses to relocate to Canada. Later, he visits Vancouver to persuade Simar to return to India, see his sister after seven years, and meet former girlfriend Jaspreet, but the lives he encounters there make him question Canada’s promise.
