Mukesh, a construction contractor trapped by loan debt, considers staging his death after the owner of a major building project withholds payment until the work is finished. While preparing the deception, he encounters Shobhana, who is fleeing thugs, just as police raid the hotel. To avoid trouble, they pose as lovers driven toward suicide by their families’ opposition, leading officers to arrange their marriage. Shobhana disappears after they leave, and Mukesh searches for her as fate determines when they meet again.
