North America is divided into four main quadrants, while a power-hungry corporation controls the conventional prison system. Its owner, nanoscientist Eion Prescott, has made criminals the new law enforcers. He distributes his nano-virus, Onyx, through deadly watches that first infect criminals and then force them to eliminate one another for freedom. The corporation’s entire system now faces the possibility of being toppled from within.
