After his fiancée Ye Qin dies in an encounter with an unknown beast, soldier king Qin Yang is invited by Gu Ping to participate in her scientific research conducted before her death. Gu Ping uses its results to combine unknown-beast genes and create the intelligent Zero dragon creature, which evolves by devouring an extraterrestrial beast as an imminent city war approaches.
