On her eighteenth birthday, free-spirited Elliott takes mushrooms and encounters a wisecracking version of herself at age thirty-nine. As the summer unfolds, Elliott is forced to reconsider her understanding of family, love, and the direction her life is taking. With her future self pressing her to change course, she must navigate a summer shaped by warnings from the woman she may become.
