Sesha Ratnam, a wealthy and headstrong village woman, controls her household and keeps her husband’s relatives away, while clashing with her mother-in-law. When her husband proposes marrying one of their daughters, Shobha or Neeru, to Venkateswara Rao, Sesha opposes it. Venkanna promises his grandmother he will unite the families, but both daughters fall for him before he works to win Sesha over.
