To repay his family’s debts, Xu Fu takes a chef’s job at a Chinese restaurant in the Middle East, where he joins floor manager Ma Junsheng. Together, they help the Dragon Restaurant draw growing crowds with food known for its authentic taste. As war erupts and conditions around them deteriorate, Xu Fu, Ma, and the restaurant face an uncertain struggle to keep the business going.
