On the outskirts of Paris, a workshop-house serves as a shared space for a dozen characters whose relationships intersect and depend on one another. Across recurring sequences of lament, sex, and conversation, the occupants communicate physically and verbally while differing over how the house belongs to them. As familiar connections shift and the characters reappear in changing combinations, the film follows their common space and the tensions within it.
