After retiring, Sathyanathan seeks a city plot where he can settle with his wife and children, including sons Uppilinathan and Vishwanathan and daughter Sindhu. His software-engineer son Uppilinathan has little interest in the proposed family home, preferring to leave India for a job in New York. Sathyanathan buys the land through World Famous Properties, managed by Vijayakumar, setting the family’s plans against the son’s separate ambition.
