A documentary follows the unfinished road linking five small villages between Sweden and Norway, where Sami people and farmers continue living beside a deserted wilderness stretch. After helping build the road, Sven-Erik Stöckel writes to Kiruna’s politicians, asking them to complete it and end dangerous crossings of Torneträsk, while questions remain about the families formed there.
