Tenaliraman

In Vigada Nagar, a fictional princely state, the king appoints Tenaliraman, a witty and intelligent man, as a minister. His arrival alarms the kingdom’s corrupt ministers, who have secretly agreed to give the Chinese unrestricted access to the kingdom’s trade. While they worry that their arrangement may be exposed, Tenaliraman appears to be pursuing a plan of his own. The court is thus caught between the ministers’ secret deal and the new minister’s intentions.
