Fourteen-year-old Sun publishes a story from her late grandfather about Hadara, a wild child separated from his family in a storm, saved by ostriches, and raised among desert animals with a fox as his best friend. Invited to the Sahara, Sun meets nomad girl Kharouba and begins to see that Hadara may be more than a bedtime-story character.
