Separated from her sister Talvi since childhood, Lumi searches for her and reaches Elfland, where elves make Christmas presents for children around the world. The elves distrust the human child who appears without explanation, but Pyry, an adventurous elf boy, welcomes her. Their friendship gives Lumi a companion as she continues through this unfamiliar realm.
