In October 1941, around 3,500 Podolsk cadets and their commanders are sent to the Ilyinsky line outside Moscow. Fighting beside units of the Soviet 43rd Army, the young men must hold back the German advance until reinforcements arrive, enduring a battle that lasts almost two weeks against overwhelming forces.
