In Denmark in 1755, Captain Ludvig Kahlen attempts to claim a heath considered impossible to cultivate. He hopes to establish a colony for the king and earn a royal title, but the region’s ruthless lord is determined to stop him, leaving Kahlen’s hopes of wealth and honour opposed by the threat of losing his life.
