Months after leaving Auschwitz in 1945, Yechiel De-Nur begins writing and adopts the name Ka-Tzetnik, concealing his identity as his books reach readers around the world. At Adolf Eichmann’s 1961 trial, he describes Auschwitz as a place beyond ordinary judgment. Years later, experimental LSD treatment for trauma leads him to revisit the experience by imagining himself as an SS officer.
