After her son is radicalized online and decides to leave for Syria to fight with rebels against the regime, his mother sets out to bring him home. Disguised as a journalist, she joins a convoy entering the combat zone, where Kurdish fighters surround her and a militia ambush leaves her confronting the devastation of war. Her search continues as she tries to get her son back alive.
