In a Rajasthan village, Bhanwar follows his uncle's coaxing and sells his land to buy a bride. He is sold Sanwri, a transgender/intersex person, through the region's bride-trafficking trade. Sanwri's gentle nature slowly melts Bhanwar's heart, but Bhairo sees Sanwri only as an object for his lust. Their bond grows amid a society whose harsh judgment and discrimination toward transgender/intersex people leaves their love nowhere to stand.
