Mahesh loves Merlyn, a woman from an Anglo-Indian family, but his sister Shailaja Varma opposes their relationship. Her resistance is tied to an old love affair with Devan, who was killed by Shailaja’s family, leaving unresolved consequences from that past. As disagreement between the siblings intensifies, the family’s history presses against Mahesh’s hopes with Merlyn. Meanwhile, Sidarth loves Shailaja and wants to marry her, adding pressure to the conflict between present relationships and Shailaja’s troubled past.
