A young wolf raised in eastern Germany travels west through Poland and Germany toward the Netherlands and Belgium. As the species returns after disappearing from the Netherlands for 150 years, the lone animal searches for territory and a mate while people debate whether wolves are dangerous, welcome its presence, or oppose it. Its journey may lead to the first permanent wolf pack in the Netherlands since the species was eradicated there.
