Thapki’s stutter keeps marriage proposals away, and her engagement to Diwakar ends when he abandons her at the wedding. She then works at Dhruv Pandey’s television station, where Dhruv falls in love with her. His mother rejects the match and orders her adopted son Bihaan to marry Thapki, a duty he accepts reluctantly.
