After Urano Motosu, a book-loving apprentice librarian in Tokyo, dies in an earthquake, she somehow awakens in the body of Myne, a sickly young girl. Myne's new medieval world restricts books to the elite, but Urano is determined to make them available to ordinary people. She must pursue that goal during the limited time she has left in Myne's life.
