Unhappy with his existence as Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar abandons his throne and retires to Los Angeles. There, he joins LAPD detective Chloe Decker in taking down criminals. His absence from the underworld, however, creates a growing problem: the longer Lucifer remains away, the more likely it becomes that the worst of humanity could escape. While the pair pursues crime on Earth, the underworld’s threat continues to build behind him.
