At 17, Rei Kiriyama is a professional shogi player living alone in an old town in Tokyo. He lost his family in an accident when he was young and now carries a deep loneliness. His life begins to change little by little after he becomes acquainted with three sisters—Akari, Hinata, and Momo—whose presence brings him into contact with people trying to regain something while he continues his life as a player.
