Eight-year-old Öykü, unusually empathetic and perceptive, searches for her father, Demir, after the aunt who raised her abandons her. Demir, an irresponsible swindler who grew up in an orphanage, is arrested when Öykü arrives; released on the condition that he care for her, he instead joins his partner Ugur in trying to get rid of her while they prepare a major job. Their target, Candan, hides a painful past behind a quiet life, as Öykü keeps a secret she cannot tell anyone.
