Set in 1948 Tokyo in the aftermath of the war, the animated mystery follows second-year high school student Kanna Kusakabe, who encounters the new language teacher Akihiko Chuzenji. Supernatural incidents keep occurring around Kanna, and she regularly seeks out the surly Chuzenji-sensei inside the library prep room for help with each new disturbance.
