In 2140, a matriarchal society has built Two Hills as a harmonious community governed by science, reason, and environmental respect. History teacher Rada visits the area beyond it where men and a few women live outside female control. Her ordered world is unsettled when she meets Hera, a young man from that community, in a society where old relationship rules no longer apply.
