After a parasitic substance once descended on Fengzi Ridge, its seven ominous relics resurface and are linked to a series of bizarre, gruesome murders. Mu Dai, Luo Ren, Thirteen-Thousand, Yan Hongsha, and Cao Yanhua become involved through separate fateful encounters, then unite as the Phoenix Squad. Their perilous effort to subdue the relics tests the five through repeated life-and-death trials, while Luo Ren and Mu Dai gradually form a genuine bond amid the danger.
