Ordinary student Makoto Misumi is summoned to another world as its supposed hero, only to be insulted by the goddess, stripped of the title, and cast into the wilderness. There he encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and other non-human tribes while using extraordinary magic and combat skills, attempting to reshape the world after humans and gods reject him.
