Santhanam devotes himself to his siblings, giving them the best education and meeting their basic needs. He remains responsible for their care until they become financially stable. At that point, however, the siblings turn against him, ill-treating and ignoring the man who supported them. The story follows this reversal as Santhanam’s sustained care is met by rejection from those he looked after.
