Raja, a slum child and college student, falls in love with Roja, the dean's daughter, through conversations over the Internet. Their feelings deepen even as Roja remains engaged to someone else. Raja faces a painful conflict: he loves her, yet cannot bear to disrespect her father, the man to whom he owes his livelihood. Their relationship is therefore pressed between romantic attachment, Roja's engagement, and Raja's dependence on her father.
