Raghavan Thampi and his wife Subhadra have two sons, Prabhakaran and Pradeep, whose marriages unfold differently within the family. Prabhakaran wants to become a mridangam maestro, but his parents want him to marry. When he refuses, Subhadra emotionally blackmails him and gets him married to Shailaja. Meanwhile, Pradeep falls in love with Roshni, and they marry secretly without their parents’ knowledge.
