Dr. Isaac's marriage is strained by a jealous wife who constantly suspects him of philandering. Tensions increase when an attractive young woman and her equally jealous husband move into the neighboring house, setting the two couples against each other. Meanwhile, the couples' children begin a romance, bringing a new complication to the dispute. Their relationship crosses the divide between one Hindu family and one Christian family, while both sets of parents oppose the alliance and the neighboring households remain at odds.
